Damien Hirst’s Raphael, H15-1 (2021) from his Archangels series is a luminous celebration of renewal and fleeting beauty. Against a soft blue sky, dark branches stretch upward, adorned with cascades of delicate pink blossoms, their petals rendered in thick, expressive dabs of paint. Bright touches of green and flashes of red leaves punctuate the scene, adding vitality to the profusion of blooms.
